SUMMER READING 2017

Parish Public Library Summer Reading Program

Reading is an important part of everybody's summer vacation. It keeps your brain active and takes you places you have never been!
All children, pre-school through high school, are invited to sign up at the Parish Public Library to be a part of the summer reading program. They can earn tickets to enter drawings for prizes, including a $50 gift certificate to Amazon, gift cards for McDonalds, Subway, I-Tunes, Regal Theater and a Lego set. The more you read, the more tickets you earn to increase your chances of winning! All participants who finish the program will get a coupon for a free sundae from the Grist Mill Restaurant.

The events will take place at the Parish Fire Station at 2:00 pm on Wednesdays. The first event will be local musician Jim McCarthy on Wednesday July 12. Other events will include the Thompson Zoo from Watertown, channel 9 weekend meteorologist John DiPasquale, Buzzing Around with Cooperative Extension, crazy game day, and a building day.

Sign up for the program will begin on July 5th so everyone can get a head start on their reading.

Everyone is invited to the events at the Parish Fire Station whether or not they are a part of the Summer Reading Program. All events are free! Call the Library at 625-7130 for more information.
