Every Hero Has a Story! Let’s read them!

Parish Public Library is pleased to announce an exciting, expanded Summer Reading Program. All children (preschool through high school) are invited to participate. They can earn tickets for tracking their reading this summer (6/15-9/2), and can enter drawings for terrific prizes, including a Kindle!

The library will also host a special program each Wednesday throughout the summer. We will welcome the Watertown Science Museum on Wednesday, July 8th to kick off our summer, and will close out the celebration of learning with the Thompson Park Zoo coming on Wednesday, August 26th.  Participating students earn additional prize tickets for attending programs. The full schedule of events is below.

·         Wednesday, July 8th (3 p.m.): The Library presents Watertown Science Museum

·         Wednesday, July 15th (12:45 p.m.): Library presents Jacki the Ventriloquist and Clara

·         Wednesday, July 22nd (3 p.m.): Oswego County 4-H presents Olivia’s Birds

·         Wednesday, July 29th (3 p.m.): Oswego County 4-H presents “Building Bridges”

·         Wednesday, August 5th (3 p.m.): Oswego County 4-H presents “Airplanes and Airfoils”

·         Wednesday, August 12th (3 p.m.): Oswego County 4-H presents “We are ALL heroes”

·         Wednesday, August 19th (3 p.m.): “Woods Smart” with local emergency response heroes

·         Wednesday, August 26th (3 p.m.): The Library presents Thompson Park Zoo
