REOPENING!!!

The Parish Library is very pleased to announce their reopening plan and guidelines.

The Parish Library will reopen to our library patrons beginning Tuesday, September 8th.

The hours will be:

Monday: 11:00 am-4:30 pm

Tuesday: 1:00 pm-4:30 pm

Wednesday: 11:00-4:30 pm

Thursday: 5:00 pm-6:30 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am-2:30 pm

All patrons must wear a mask inside the building until further notice. Patrons may visit and browse for half an hour. Upon entering patrons must use the hand sanitizer that is provided by the door. Please stay 6 feet from other patrons.

Any books that are touched and not checked out must be placed in the box provided.

If you want to be contacted in the event of any COVID-19 emergency please provide the staff with your name.

3 patrons will be allowed in the upstairs area at one time plus 2 people will be allowed on the computer at one time. The door will be locked when we are at capacity and a sign will be posted on the outside door so patrons can wait until some others leave.

GRAB and GO will continue for any patron who does not want to come into the library.

Bathrooms will not be available for public use.

CHILDRENS AREA:

One immediate family, up to 5 members  is allowed in the children’s area for one half hour. Please stop upstairs upon arrival to see if the area is available. All books that are touched but not charged out must be put in the box provided for that.

COMPUTERS:

2 computers will be available for public use. You must check in at the desk so we can note your time in. A patron can use the computer for 50 minutes only per day. A patron cannot take a second time slot and they cannot return again on the same day.  Head phones will not be available. Each keyboard will be covered in cling wrap and it will be changed and the area disinfected after each use. Patrons must not remove the cling wrap. We will stick to the times very closely!

COPIES and FAX MACHINE:

Both the fax machine and the copier will be available.

 Whenever necessary the staff will disinfect any area. If patrons do not comply with our guidelines the Library may be forced to close again or return to grab and go only!
