Come and learn about the sport of dog sledding! Nancy and Ray Stark will be at the Parish Library on February 16 at 11:00 to discuss the care and training of sled dogs.  As volunteers for Alaska's great sled dog race “the Iditarod” as well as helping the mushers train their teams, they have lots of stories and information to share. They will bring their sled dogs. During the event they will introduce the dogs, and discuss the breed and characteristics of a racing sled dog.


Send some sweet thoughts to someone you Love! Come on to the Parish Library on February 6 at 6:00 pm to make a beautiful greeting card. The class will be led by scrapbooker Linda Clark. Join us for a relaxed evening with friends to make a keepsake for someone you love. All materials will be provided free of chargeand program is open to the public.


This month the Parish Library Book Club will be reading the class O Pioneers by Willa Cather. The discussion on this book will be held on February 6 at 1:00 pm. If you are interested in joining the group, grab a copy of the book and come on in. If you need a copy, stop in at the Library and we will get a copy for you. Even if you don't want to read this book, join the group and help to decide what the next book will be. Everyone is invited to attend.


The reception for local author and Parish resident Kay Perham has been cancelled in anticipation of inclement weather. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

Kay Perham, Parish Author to be Honored

Lifelong Parish resident, Kay Perham will be honored January 20th at 2pm at the Parish Public Library to celebrate the publishing of her first full length novel titled “The Runner”. Her unique writing style draws you into the lives of the residents of Carson Cove.
