Child and Elder Abuse--What is it? How do I recognize it? What can I do about it? What does the system do about it? These are just a few of the questions that you may be asking yourself after recent events in our community. Mary Brunet, MSW local child and family therapist will answer these questions during her presentation on abuse and neglect on October 18th at 6pm at the Parish Public Library.

Every Hero Has a Story! Let’s read them!

Parish Public Library is pleased to announce an exciting, expanded Summer Reading Program. All children (preschool through high school) are invited to participate. They can earn tickets for tracking their reading this summer (6/15-9/2), and can enter drawings for terrific prizes, including a Kindle!

The library will also host a special program each Wednesday throughout the summer. We will welcome the Watertown Science Museum on Wednesday, July 8th to kick off our summer, and will close out the celebration of learning with the Thompson Park Zoo coming on Wednesday, August 26th.  Participating students earn additional prize tickets for attending programs. The full schedule of events is below.
